The method concerns tilting a rolled section (30) about its longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes a frame which can be moved across a roller conveyor (29), transporting the section, and has clamping rolls (1, 2) installed in a roll head (11). The roll head is pivoted about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the section, and has a pivot drive (11). During tilting, the section (30) held by the rolls (1, 2) is lifted above the transport plane X-X of the roller conveyor (29). The movable clamping roll (1) is actuated using a cylinder unit (3). The height of the roll head (11) can be altered using a cylinder unit (26) joined to a lever (25).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Kanten oder Spießkanten von Walzprofilen, bspw. Knüppeln (30), um ihre Längsachse, unter Verwendung einer Vorrichtung umfassend ein Gestell (20), das quer zu einem Knüppel (30) transportierenden Rollgang (29) verschiebbar ist und einen mit Klemmrollen (1, 2) zum Festspannen eines Knüppels (30) ausgerüsteten, um eine zur Knüppellängsachse parallele Schwenkachse schwenkbaren Rollenkopf (10) mit Schwenkantrieb (11) aufweist, der die Knüppel (30) bei deren Längstransport erfaßt und vor Aufgabe in eine folgende Station um einen vorgegebenen Kantwinkel kantet. Die Verbesserung ist darin zu sehen, daß der Rollenkopf (10) den zwischen seinen Klemmrollen (1, 2) geführten Knüppel (30) während des Kantvorganges über die Transportebene (x-x) des Rollgangs (29) anhebt. Die Erfindung betrifft auch eine Kantvorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. <IMAGE>
