Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0881005A2] The method concerns tilting a rolled section (30) about its longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes a frame which can be moved across a roller conveyor (29), transporting the section, and has clamping rolls (1, 2) installed in a roll head (11). The roll head is pivoted about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the section, and has a pivot drive (11). During tilting, the section (30) held by the rolls (1, 2) is lifted above the transport plane X-X of the roller conveyor (29). The movable clamping roll (1) is actuated using a cylinder unit (3). The height of the roll head (11) can be altered using a cylinder unit (26) joined to a lever (25).
