The apparatus includes an oscillating continuous casting mould (4) fixed to a table (2) which has an oscillation drive and is mounted on a stationary base frame (1). The mould has guide elements which take the form of plate frames (7) with cross members (9). Two opposing plate frames (7) are joined into a plate frame pair (7a, 7b). Each plate frame is connected on one side to the base frame and on the other side to the table (2).

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Stranggießen von Stahl, umfassend einer Gießrichtung oszillierende Stranggießkokille (4), die in einem mit einem Oszillationsantrieb (3) verbundenen Hubtisch (2) eines stationären Grundrahmens (1) angeordnet ist, und der beidseitig quer zur Gießrichtung Führungselemente zugeordnet sind, besitzen die Führungselemente insbesondere hinsichtlich Standzeit und Verschleiß verbesserte Eigenschaften, wenn die Führungselemente als Plattenrahmen (7) mit Querstreben (9) ausgebildet und jeweils zwei einander im Abstand gegenüberliegende Plattenrahmen (7) zu einem Plattenrahmenpaar (7a; 7b) zusammengefaßt sind, wobei jeder Plattenrahmen (7) einerseits mit dem Grundrahmen (1) und andererseits mit dem Hubtisch (2) verbunden ist. <IMAGE>
