Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0881136A2] The method involves temporally and locally offset individual location measurements from which confidence intervals (VIP1,VIP2,VIPn) are updated. A predetermined minimum number of individual confidence intervals lead up to a reference point (tb). Maximal upper and lower limits of all intervals form the boundaries of a safety-relevant interval (SVIPb). The vehicle's actual position is obtained with regard to the reset limits by displacement-dependent update of the limit values.
