Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0881150A1] The two jaws (1,2) hold the refuse sack (20) between them and move towards each other on a horizontal swivel axle near the ground. The two jaws lie next to each other under the force of a pre-tensioned spring (3) and are made of stiff round wire. Each wire has an upright U-shaped part (4,11) with two parallel sides (6,15) joined by a top transverse strut (5,12). The free ends of the sides (6) of the fixed jaw (2) have upward-bent arms (7); the free ends of the movable jaw (1) have bent struts (16) and form a support for the tread-board (17). Rubber springs (3) are positioned near the top apex (21) of each arm of the fixed jaw. The springs are joined to the bent struts of the sides of the movable jaw.
