Abstract (en)
The support consists of a base (3), a folding frame (4),with a socket (20) for the sign (2), and a rectangular U-shaped strut (5) which is pivoted to the base and held in the deployed position by two lateral projections (8a) on the frame and a spring-loaded catch (10) engaging with a catch plate (11a). The support folds flat when not in use, and the strut is deployed automatically as the frame is raised, engaging with the lateral projections and the catch. The base is made from a relatively heavy material such as a metal and has feet (6) in the form of blades. The socket is attached to the top of the frame by two rods (18) of a supple and synthetic material, especially a polyurethane elastomer, so the sign can return to its vertical position when blown by the slipstream of a passing lorry.

Cette embase (1) comprend un socle (3), un châssis (4) destiné à supporter l'élément de signalisation (2), monté pivotant sur le socle (3), et une jambe de force arrière (5), montée pivotante sur le socle (3). Selon l'invention : le châssis (4) comprend deux surfaces latérales d'appui (8a) et un pêne (11) coulissant, la jambe de force (5) est constituée par une pièce en forme de U, montée pivotante sur le socle (3) ; les branches latérales (5a) de cette jambe de force (5) reposent sur lesdites surfaces latérales d'appui (8a), par rapport auxquelles elles peuvent coulisser et pivoter, et la branche intermédiaire (5c) comprend une gâche (27) apte à recevoir le pêne (11). <IMAGE>
