Abstract (en)
The rigid aerial, mounted on an aircraft, comprises an envelope (3,30) offering external protection, made of a material which is transparent to electromagnetic radiation, and which is preferably also electrically insulating. This outer envelope contains an assembly of internal conductors consisting of a number of linear elements (4a-d). The conductor elements are linked together by a number of conducting coils (5a-c) attached to insulating supports (6-8). The whole assembly is linked to the body of the aircraft by support posts which carry the structure and provide anchorage to the shell of the aircraft. The conductor elements are made of a light metal, or a light metal alloy, coated with a material of good electrical conductivity and good thermal conductivity.

Une antenne rigide destinée à être montée sur un aéronef comporte un montage conducteur interne comprenant une pluralité d'éléments conducteurs linéaires (4a - 4d) reliés entre eux par une pluralité d'éléments conducteurs bobinés (5a - 5c) sur des supports isolants (6 - 8). Une enveloppe (3) de protection extérieure réalisée en matériau composite fibre de verre entoure le montage conducteur interne pour assurer l'étanchéité tout en permettant le passage du rayonnement électromagnétique. <IMAGE>
