Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0882411A1] The production (10) and packaging unit (11) are connected by at least one cigarette-conveyor (15). The packaging machine (14) for producing cigarette packets is connected to two independently operating cigarette-production machines (12,13). The continuous output of the packaging machine corresponds to the joint continuous output of the two cigarette-production machines. The two production machines are conveyed into a cigarette-accumulator, especially into a closed oval-ring conveyor (16) with straight sections (22,23) and connected via the cigarette-conveyor with the packaging machine. The L-shaped outlined production machines have arms of unequal lengths (17,18). The arm (18) forming the filter-applicator unit is next to a conveyor (19) for the finished cigarettes and supplies the cigarettes to a vertical transfer conveyor (21).
