[origin: EP0882532A2] The apparatus (100) for production of a workpiece (106) with face teeth includes a forming tool (101) with a tooth structure (103) on its face, and at least two pressure rolls (107) which press the workpiece into the tooth structure, and rotate relative to the forming tool. The corresponding method includes the following steps: a) the pressure rolls are pressed against the radially inner zone of the workpiece; b) the pressure rolls are moved radially outwards over the tooth structure so that a corresponding tooth structure is produced on the face of the workpiece.
