Abstract (en)
A liquid is sprayed onto the substrate (1) in a pattern through a spray head (6) with a nozzle (18) which is kept clean by an automatic cleaning program which is carried out continuously or at intervals. The cleaning process can be executed at the side next to the substrate. The cleaning process can be undertaken in areas of the substrate where, conditioned by the pattern, no fluid is to be applied to the substrate. Air can be sucked out from a gap between the substrate and nozzle to keep the nozzle clean. The nozzle can be kept clean by flushing with fluid.

Beschrieben werden ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Bildung eines Musters auf einer Unterlage (1, 41), indem mittels eines wenigstens eine Düse (18) aufweisenden Spritzkopfs (6) eine Flüssigkeit musterbedingt auf die Unterlage (1, 41) aufgebracht wird. Im Rahmen der Bemusterung wird zusätzlich ein automatischer Reinhaltungsprozeß zur Reinhaltung der Düse (18) ausgeführt. Dadurch lassen sich auch mit sehr feinen Düsen größere Unterlagen über relativ lange Zeit qualitativ hochwertig bemustern. <IMAGE>
