Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0882833A1] The airing and drying stand has an upright post. An expanding frame with several arms (4) is mounted on the post via support struts for accommodating a clothes line. The line is formed out of closed string polygons (5) which are held movably in the arms (4) of the expanding frame. An operating element (7) for drawing in the line is joined flexibly to the polygons (5) and connected to a fixing point on the pole especially via a guide.
