Abstract (en)
The edging strip has a flange (12) which is fitted under the paving of the terrace and a raised lip (14) which edges the paving. The paving is laid over a spacing which allows water to run off and pass out through drainage holes (22) at the bottom edge of the raised lip. An outer flange (20) at a spacing from the drainage holes prevents debris from blowing into the holes. The strip is made in one piece by folding flat material. The outer flange is formed by folding over from the top of the upright lip and shaping to form a drip lip (18) as well as to form a protective cover for the drainage holes.

Abschlußprofil (10) für Terrassen, Balkons u.dgl. mit aufgestelzten Belägen, welches einen im wesentlichen ebenflächigen Verankerungsschenkel (12) und einen von diesem im wesentlichen rechtwinklig abgekanteten in der bestimmungsgemäßen Einbaulage des Abschlußprofils die Beläge zur Außenseite der Terrasse, des Balkons o.dgl. hin abschließenden Abschlußschenkel (14) aufweist, in welchem Entwässerungsöffnungen (22) vorgesehen sind. An dem Abschlußschenkel (14) ist ein die Entwässerungsöffnungen (22) nicht verschließender, sie jedoch gegen direkte Einwirkung äußerer Witterungseinflüsse schützender Abdeckschenkel (20) vorgesehen. Der Abdeckschenkel (20) wird vorzugsweise von einem in der bestimmungsgemäßen Einbaulage des Abschlußprofils (10) von der Außenseite des Abschlußschenkels (14) schräg nach unten weisenden Dachstreifen (16) und einem daran angesetzten, im wesentlichen senkrecht nach unten weisenden Verblendstreifen (18) gebildet. <IMAGE>
