Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0882864A2] The hinge used for the glass door incorporates of a three part hinge cylinder, the diameter of which is at least three times the thickness of the door. A hinge plate (5) is integral with the central cylinder section, while the two outer sections (1) are interconnected by a hinge plate (4) which runs tangential to the cylinder. The hinge plates are secured to the glass door and to the partition, from which the door is hung, using clamp plates (8). The outer sections of the cylinder have slots, along their diameter, which extend to past the hinge centreline of the cylinder. Cut-outs in the edge of the door fit over the central cylinder section.
