Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0882867A2] The drive unit (1) cooperates with a transverse drive shaft (3). At least one of the side guide rails (2) has a holder (4) for the unit incorporating a drive motor (5) for driving the shaft, at an acute angle to the guide rail and at right-angles to the drive shaft. The drive unit has a baseplate (8) supporting the drive motor whose driven shaft has a driven gearwheel (9) placed on it. A drive gearwheel (10) cooperates with the drive shaft of the plate. An intermediate gearwheel (11) is interposed between the two gearwheels, and forms a toothed gearing chain (12). All the gearwheels interlock.
