[origin: EP0882891A1] The pump has an electric motor driving an in-line helical pump rotor, through a flexible shaft connection, within a shaped elastic sleeve extending along the bore of the pump stator. The electric motor comprises a stator coil (3), rotor (4) and drive shaft (9) connecting the pump rotor (14) through a flexible connector (25). The pump rotor is shaped as an eccentric screw and rotates within an elastic sleeve (15) in contact with the pump stator (12) through a pair of one-turn helical ribs extending the entire length.
