Abstract (en)

the plug connector (1) has a plug (4) and a coupling (14) to which both cables can be connected, a plug housing (6) and a coupling housing (15) in which the plug and coupling are mounted, and a closure ring (24) with which the plug housing and the coupling housing can be screwed together. The plug housing and the coupling housing have an overlapping region (23) when screwed together. A seal (7) is arranged between the two housings when they are screwed together.

Es ist eine flüssigkeitsdichte Steckverbindung (1) beispielsweise für zwei zu verbindende Kabel beschrieben, die mit einem Stecker (4) und einer Kupplung (14) versehen ist, an die die beiden Kabel anschließbar sind. Des weiteren ist die Steckverbindung (1) mit einem Steckergehäuse (6) und einem Kupplungsgehäuse (15) versehen, in denen der Stecker (4) und die Kupplung (14) untergebracht sind, sowie mit einem Verschlußring (24), mittels dem das Steckergehäuse (6) und das Kupplungsgehäuse (15) miteinander verschraubbar sind. Das Steckergehäuse (6) und das Kupplungsgehäuse (15) weisen im zusammengeschraubten Zustand einen Überlappungsbereich (23) auf, in dem eine Dichtung (7) zwischen den beiden Gehäusen (6, 15) angeordnet ist. <IMAGE>
