[origin: EP0883214A1] the plug connector (1) has a plug (4) and a coupling (14) to which both cables can be connected, a plug housing (6) and a coupling housing (15) in which the plug and coupling are mounted, and a closure ring (24) with which the plug housing and the coupling housing can be screwed together. The plug housing and the coupling housing have an overlapping region (23) when screwed together. A seal (7) is arranged between the two housings when they are screwed together.
