[origin: EP0884138A2] The striker (17) has a guide pipe (12) axially movable in relation to the tool-pressure and rotationally mounted in relation to the machine housing (11). The guide pipe has at least one ventilation opening (36) which is opened for ventilating an air cushion (22) when the striker is idling. The ventilation opening is covered by a closure piece (37) after the axial displacement of the guide pipe. The closure piece supports locking teeth (67) and is formed by a multifunctional sleeve (25) enclosing the guide pipe as a separate component.
