Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0884143A2] The cutter has at least one rotary knife (17) which fits into a slot in a cutter-table (23) on which the web of material rests. The slot is positioned at least in the part where the knife-periphery intersects the plane of the cutting table surface (23a). Two rotatably mounted discs (29) whose surfaces are flush with the cutter table surface each fit, with at least part of their peripheral surface, into the surrounding part of the knife-blade (17a).
