[origin: EP0884256A1] A first, driven, roller rotates on an axle (3) across the direction of travel and is positioned behind the stack (2) of sheets. A further roller, above the first roller, is pivot mounted on an axle parallel with the first roller. The first roller is formed on one or more smaller diameter conveyor rollers (4) pivot mounted near the front edge of the stack of sheets of the sheet feeder. One or more continuous driving belts (8) extend from the conveyor rollers and loop round a conveyor roller (6) spaced apart from the conveyor rollers. A third, tension, roller (7) forms a triangular arrangement with the conveyor rollers (4,6) for the drive belts.
