Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19724861C1] The gas burner is especially used in a domestic heating boiler. It has a set of burner tubes through which the gas can escape into the combustion space. The tubes have bell-mouthed ends (5) where the gas enters. The gas enters through nozzles (4) which extend into the bell-mouths and mixes with primary air drawn in through the bell-mouths. The nozzles are cylindrical tubes, closed at the ends and with several radial holes (16) near the ends, through which the gas escapes at right-angles to the longitudinal axes (A) of each burner assembly. The gas nozzles have hexagonal bases (18) which screw into a gas supply manifold which may be accommodated inside an air chest supplied with air by a fan.
