The electronic component (1) has an integrated component body (2) with at least two contact wires which are connected to at least two contact elements (9), with which the component can be attached to a circuit board. The contact elements are guided on the surface (7) of the component body on the underside so that the component body can be mounted with its underside (8) directly on the circuit board. Apertures (5) in the sides of the component are coated with conducting material to make the connection between the contact wires and the contact elements.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein elektronisches Bauelement mit einem integrierten Bauelementkörper (2). Dieser verfügt über mindestens zwei Kontaktfäden, die mit zwei unteren Kontaktflächen (9) verbunden sind. Über diese Kontaktflächen (9) ist der Bauelementkörper (2) auf einer Leiterplatte befestigbar. Die Kontaktflächen (9) sind auf der Oberfläche (7) des integrierten Bauelementkörpers (2) auf die Unterseite (8) geführt, so dass der Bauelementkörper (2) mit seiner Unterseite (8) direkt auf die Leiterplatte aufsetzbar ist. Dies ist besonders vorteilhaft bei Vorsehen einer unteren Ausnehmung (10), in die ein Kern (3) für einen planaren Transformator einsetzbar ist. <IMAGE>
