[origin: DE19608424A1] The invention relates to an electronically commutated motor with a permanent magnet rotor and a stator with a rotor position sensor (25) on the stator side which has two exclusive OR signal outputs (48, 50) and supplies an output voltage alternating between said signal outputs (48, 50) while the motor is running, with a phase shift arrangement (R1, C, R2, R1', C', R2') to shift the phase of said alternating output voltage so as to generate a temporally advanced alternating output signal (u56-56') in relation to the alternating output voltage, the angle of advance ( phi ) of which increases as the motor revolution speed increases, and with at least one electronic switching component (60, 60') controlled by said alternating output signal (fig. 10b: u56-56') to control a motor stator current.
