Der sogenannte Europafussball ist - mathematisch gesehen - ein halbregulärer Polyeder. Er besteht aus 12 regelmäßigen Fünfecken und 20 regelmäßigen Sechsecken - alle mit der gleichen Seitenlänge. Fussbälle werden also aus 32 Einzelteilen zusammengefügt. Dieses Patent beschreibt die Möglichkeit, die Zahl der Einzelteile zu verkleinern. Insbesondere ergibt sich die Möglichkeit, die Oberfläche des Polyeders in 2 oder 4 (Fig.1) deckungsgleiche Teile zu zerlegen. <IMAGE>
