[origin: DE19726642C1] The positioning arrangement includes an ink print head which is arranged when printing stationary behind a guide plate in a printing window, along which the print carriers are led by device of a transport arrangement. The print head (2) can be moved between a printing position and a cleaning and sealing position. A cleaning and sealing arrangement (3) is also arranged behind the guide plate (1), but is movable towards and away from the print head. A common gearing (4) is provided for the advance of the printing head and the cleaning and sealing arrangement. The common gearing is driven by a motor (5) which runs only in one rotation direction. The print head, the cleaning and sealing arrangement, and the common gearing with the motor are fastened in a common frame (8) and are combined to a compact assembly group which is fastened adjustably to the transport arrangement (9).
