[origin: EP0885809A1] On one side of the section (10) is a printed text and fold lines (16,17) on it are formed by embossment. Stamp cuts (18) are provided for limiting fold flaps. The sections in the area of a cutting unit in the packing machine are separable from a forwardly running material strip by a dividing cut process. In the area of the cutting unit, at least lateral contours of the section are producible by longitudinal cuts. The cutting unit is part of a special cutting equipment, which is connected with the packing machine by a section conveyor or stack conveyor. The cutting unit comprises several work apparatus, through which the material strip is conveyed for preparation of the sections.
