In printing fibrous material with reactive dyes, the material is first treated with an aqueous alkaline liquor and optionally dried, then printed with a paste containing reactive dye(s), a thickener and optionally other additives except alkali (precursor).

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zum Bedrucken von Fasermaterial mit Reaktivfarbstoffen, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man das zu bedruckende Fasermaterial zuerst mit einer wässrigen alkalischen Flotte behandelt, das behandelte Fasermaterial gegebenenfalls trocknet und dann mit einer Druckpaste, enthaltend mindestens einen Reaktivfarbstoff, ein Verdickungsmittel, sowie gegebenenfalls weitere Zusätze mit Ausnahme von Alkali oder Alkalispender, bedruckt.
