[origin: EP0886011A1] Section of rail is supported by sleeper or plate-like bodies and comprises rails which diverge, as at a crossing or points. The bodies (122-146) have the same dimensions and are positioned one after the other or in a predetermined sequence, having similar mounting patterns (b). Baseplates (92) supporting the rails are fastened at different positions corresponding to the diverging rails. Preferably, varying divergence of adjacent rail sections can be compensated by inserts which can be located replaceably in the baseplate fastening holes, allowing adjustment of the base plate position in relation to the support body.
