Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0886119A1] The firing mechanism comprises a trigger (1) operating a hammer release catch (4) via a linkage (3). It has a lock in the form of a lug (10) projecting from the linkage to prevent any rotation of the catch except by pulling the trigger, when the lug on the linkage interacts with the catch via a drive lever (12). The catch and its drive lever rotate about the same axis (6), the lever having two arms (13,14) which interact with the lug and catch respectively. The lever can also have an extension which interacts with the moving element of an electromagnetic actuator controlled by an electrical signal.
