[origin: EP0887523A2] An expansion vessel has a primary container (11), a secondary container (13) plus a connection (16) for the two containers. The primary container has a connection for a ventilation pipe (17) and the secondary container has a ventilation valve (15). The primary container has a first inlet to connect a heat generator (1), a first outlet to connect a first heat consumer (7), a second inlet (19) to connect a second heat consumer (21) plus a second outlet to connect the second heat consumer. The secondary container has a connection for an expansion pipe. A pipeline serves as a connection between the two containers which on one hand opens out into the upper region of the primary container and on the other hand, into the lower region of the secondary container.
