Abstract (en)
The system is accessible via the telephone network or internet, and has a databank (3) holding information relating to traffic congestion etc.. A signalling channel provides the information to a user upon interrogation. The databank is accessed via an input element (10) which differentiates between the signalling channel and the interrogation channel. The databank has a speech or word recognition device (4) for recognising key words in a telephone or internet call, for accessing the information relating to the required motorway section, fed to the user via an output element (2).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Fernabfragesystem zur Bereitstellung von Informationen über Verkehrsverhältnisse auf Schnellstraßen, welches telefonisch und vorzugsweise auch über das Internet zugänglich ist. Das Fernabfragesysten entnimmt mit einem Eingangselement den Benutzerangaben Informationen über den Ort und die Art einer Verkehrsstörung oder eine interessierende Fahrtstrecke, wobei die vom Benutzer aufgegebenen Informationen entsprechend in einer Datenbank gespeichert und zur Abfrage bereitgestellt bzw. aus der Datenbank abgefragt werden. Das Eingangselement weist eine Spracherkennungseinheit zur Erkennung von Schlüsselwörtern aus der natürlichen Sprache eines Anrufers auf, welche in rechnerverwertbare Information umgewandelt werden. Weiterhin weist das Fernabfragesystem eine Ausgangseinheit zur Benutzerführung auf, welche vorbestimmbare Ansagetextbausteine zusammenzustellen und als Sprachsignal wiederzugeben imstande ist, wodurch dem Benutzer beispielsweise Verkehrsinformationen übermittelt werden.
