[origin: EP0887883A2] The push-in contact (1) is inserted in an opening in a printed circuit board and is provided with a contact pin or contact spring (4), a central shaft section (2) and a terminal section at the end of the latter. The central shaft section has a slit opening (7) defined between a pair of side arms, which projects into the contact pin or contact spring at its end. The latter end of the slit opening may be wider than the remainder of the slit opening.
