Abstract (en)
The mechanism consists of two locking rings (10,20) each forming a sleeve (13,23) surrounding a part of the connector. Each ring has a guide groove (12,22) extending in an arc round the sleeve and made in the thickness of the sleeve wall, and a tongue (11,21) which engages with the groove in the opposite ring. A spring inside the coupling pushes the two rings apart so that projections on the ends of the tongues are locked in matching recesses in the grooves.
