[origin: FR2746519A1] An industrial method and device for preparing lightened or pre-lightened positive plates (for use with a positive film) for (wet or waterless) offset printing, wherein said plates include or may include small ink-impervious areas in the ink-pervious portions, are disclosed. The method typically includes continuously burning a pre-sensitised positive band (1) fed around the wall of a burning cylinder (C2). Developed or undeveloped pre-sensitised positive bands with a burnt light-sensitive layer such that, once developed, said bands include small ink-impervious areas in the ink-pervious portions, are also disclosed.
