Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19610627A1] The disclosure relates to a microcontroller (10) with an auto-alarm device intended in particular for use in electrical servomotors. The microcontroller has a control device which sets an active and an inactive operating state in order to save energy and contains an oscillator which issues an activation signal or timing frequency. The oscillator (12) is a low-frequency low-current oscillator. A circuit (13), preferably a phase-regulating circuit which can be switched off, is provided in the microcontroller (13). This circuit takes the low frequency of the oscillator (12) and generates from it a substantially higher timing frequency for the microcontroller core (11). The low-frequency oscillator (12) is integrated as a primary component in the microcontroller. An undervoltage detection system (17) whose output signal can be fed directly to the microcontroller core (11) gives direct warning of undervoltage conditions. A timer logic unit (16) which monitors the rest time of the microcontroller core (11) re-activates the latter via an activation circuit. For certain functions, it is also possible to operate in a low-current mode with low frequencies alone. This reduces the buffer capacity required.
