[origin: DE19613411C1] The fluid heating device has a through-flow sleeve (2) for the fluid which concentrically encloses a radiation heating element contained within a quartz mantle (3). The radiation heating element can be provided by an electrical resistance heating wire (4) with the associated lead wires (5,6) fed out from at least one end of the quartz mantle. The heating current fed through the heating wire can be regulated via a temperature sensor (7) associated with the section of the through-flow sleeve facing the heating element and/or by a second temperature sensor (8) for the temperature of the heated fluid leaving the through-flow sleeve.
