Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0889188A1] The limiting device has an arm with an angled section (8) of which one end is hinged to a plate (4) fixed to the frame (1) and the other end (12) is hinged to a branch (14) forming the bolt of the limiting mechanism. It has a tongue (15) which fits into the opening in a strike plate (17) on the upright (2) of the sliding window. The tongue section has a cross piece (16) at the end. The opening (19) in the strike plate is formed by a solid arc (20) with an opening which prevents the tongue being inserted into or removed from the opening unless the window is closed. The opening is parallel to the direction in which the window moves. The strike plate has an elastic component (23) which pushes the tongue towards the inside.
