Abstract (en)

The fuel injection system has a high-pressure fuel reservoir (5), supplied via a fuel pump, for supplying fuel to a number of fuel injection valves (6). These are electrically controlled for injecting fuel into corresponding engine cylinders, the high-pressure fuel reservoir having respective connection points (26), for direct connection to the housing of each fuel injection valve.

Es wird ein Kraftstoffeinspritzsystem vorgeschlagen, bei dem ein Kraftstoffhochdruckspeicher (5) zur Versorgung von Kraftstoffeinspritzventilen (6) vorgesehen ist, welche Kraftstoffeinspritzventile elektrisch gesteuert werden und entsprechende Ansteuerung Kraftstoff aus dem Kraftstoffhochdruckspeicher zur Einspritzung zugeführt wird. Dabei werden die Kraftstoffeinspritzventile direkt mit ihrem Gehäuse an den Kraftstoffhochdruckspeicher unter Vermeidung von zwischengeschalteten Kraftstoffleitungen angeschlossen. <IMAGE>
