Abstract (en)
The road system network is analysed on the basis of dividing sections of the road system into elements that are sections (101-139) coupled together by defined nodes (A-Z2). For a motorway junction in which multi-lane approach sections are coupled to change sections the processing system can relate an approaching vehicle (9) to the required route. Several functional nodes (10) can be formed, where each consists of several individual nodes. For a functional node, only nodes need be considered from which sections branch off corresponding to the same road class.

Durch ein erfindungsgemäßesVerfahren zur Analyse eines Kanten (101 bis 139) und Knoten (A bis Z2) aufweisenden Verkehrsnetzes, das in Form einer zumindest Angaben über Verbindungen von Knoten und/oder von Kantenenden miteinander umfassenden, die räumliche Struktur des Verkehrsnetzes repräsentierenden Ausgangsdatei vorliegt, wobei eine das Verkehrsnetz funktionell repräsentierende, Funktionalknoten und Funktionalkanten umfassende Zieldatei erzeugt wird, indem jeweils aus mindestens einem Knoten sowie jeweils keiner, einer oder mehreren Kanten ein Funktionalknoten gebildet wird, wobei Funktionalkanten, welche jeweils eine oder mehrere Kanten und keinen, einen oder mehrere Knoten ersetzen, zwischen den gebildeten Funktionalknoten definiert werden und wobei mehrere der Funktionalknoten (10) aus jeweils mehr als einem Knoten gebildet werden, sind eine Zieldatei und eine historische Verkehrsdaten-Datei erzeugbar, welche eine einfache und effiziente Verkehrsanalyse und Verkehrsprognose in einer Verkehrszentrale erlauben. <IMAGE>
