Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9829878A1] Oil-impregnated insulating plastic laminated paper for use as an oil-impregnated insulating material in, for example, an OF (Oil-Filled) cable, kraft paper for use in the laminated paper, and a power cable using the laminated paper. The impulse dielectric breakdown properties of the oil-impregnated insulating material obtained by the use of the laminated paper which comprises the kraft paper and a plastic film must be improved by increasing the bonding strength of the kraft paper to the plastic film. Multi-layered paper with more than one layer of paper having different air resistances is used as such kraft paper to solve the aforementioned problem; namely, a low air-resistance layer has 5,000 Gurley/sec or lower, whereas a high air-resistance layer has 1,000 Gurley/sec or higher.
