Abstract (en)
The procedure consists of subjecting the audio-video signal (1000) to source coding (1001) and to wide band channel coding (1002) before transmission (1003) to a first coverage zone and at a first central frequency (F1). The signal is then subjected to transposition and retransmission (1004) to a local coverage zone at a second central frequency F2 to be picked up by mobile receivers. The transmission (1003) and retransmission (1004) operations are carried out by fixed or mobile stations including airborne, space and mobile ground transmitters.

L'invention concerne un protocole et un réseau adaptatif de diffusion à large bande audio-vidéo pour récepteurs mobiles. Le signal audio-vidéo est soumis à un codage source (1001), à un codage de canal à large bande (1002), à une diffusion (1003) sur une première zone de couverture générale à une première fréquence centrale F1, à une transposition et à une réémission (1004) sur une zone de couverture locale à une deuxième fréquence centrale F2 pour réception par les récepteurs mobiles. Les opérations de diffusion (1003) et réemission (1004) sont effectuées à partir de stations fixes ou mobiles. Application à la mise en oeuvre de réseaux monofréquence adaptatifs de zones de couverture configurables. <IMAGE>
