[origin: EP0890517A2] The side surface has ribs arranged crossways to its running direction and sections which are straight and joined to each other in corner areas. The edge (16) extending outwards from the side surface has a constantly increasing width from the corner areas (26,27,28,29) of the packing container (10) to the centre of a side surface section (18,19,20,21). The height of the ribs (30), viewed in their longitudinal direction, constantly increases in the direction of the centre, whereby the increase amounts preferably to 50 to 400 per cent of the ribs (30) at one of their ends. The ribs in their section, viewed in their longitudinal direction, have an approximate roof shape.
