[origin: EP0890538A1] Between the slitter unit (7) and the winder unit (4) is a conveyor (6) transporting the start of at least one part-web such as of paper (2) from the slitter to the winder unit. The conveyor is narrower than the web of material and is movable crosswise to the direction (10) in which the part-webs (3) run. The conveyor is divided into segments operated singly or in groups. The conveyor swivels on an axle at one end. A draw roller arrangement (11) is in front of the conveyor.
