Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19730008C1] The sheathing is positioned on the running face of the component and consists of a series of flutes formed on the surface by machining in grooves. A ceramic layer is circumferentially fixed in place and has profiling to define tips with interposed free spaces to extract abraded material. The upper face (2) profile defines edges, with the profiles defining grooves which extend parallel to the axis, or at an angle to the rotary axis of the component. The tips can define a saw tooth edge.
