[origin: DE19729047C1] The gas burner has a venturi jet profile (14) with a ring jet (8) near the narrow section to induct gas from a surrounding gas chamber (3). A throttle body (9) in the diverging profile is displaced by the air/gas flow and assumes a position where the weight of the throttle balances the gas flow. The gas is fed into the gas chamber by an initial throttle valve (11). The self adjusting main throttle body can be replaced by a spring drive for a horizontal gas burner. In this case, the throttle body is held between guide ribs.
