The mechanism consists of a frame component and closure flap (2) with a closure path (X) between open and closed positions. At least one elastic body (9) is located in a fixed manner at its end, directed towards the centre of a frame aperture (4) to be closed. At its opposite end the mechanism is fitted in a controlled fashion. The length of the closure mechanism is greater than the distance between the two body ends which is vertical to the closure path. The elastic body, due to a force influence in the direction of the closure path, moves from a shape-unstable state into a second shape-stable state. In one shape-stable state the closure flap is opened and in the other shape-stable state the closure flap is closed. The elastic body has a rotation-symmetrical shape and the end directed to the frame opening to be closed is an area in the centre of the body.

Die vorliegende Erfindung beschreibt einen Verschlußmechanismus, insbesondere für einen Lüfterverschluß eines Innenraumlüfters, bestehend aus einem Rahmenelement und einer Verschlußklappe mit einem Verschlußweg zwischen einem offenen und einem geschlossenen Zustand. Der Verschlußmechanismus weist mindestens einen elastischen Körper (9) auf, welcher an seinem zur Mitte einer zu verschließenden Rahmenöffnung (4) gerichteten Ende fest gelagert und an seinem diesem gegenüberliegenden Ende zwangsgeführt ist. Die Länge des elastischen Körpers ist größer als ein zum Verschlußweg senkrechter Abstand der beiden Körperenden, so daß der elastische Körper (9) bei Krafteinwirkung in Richtung des Verschlußweges (X) von einem formstabilen Zustand nach Überschreitung eines forminstabilen Zustandes in einen zweiten formstabilen Zustand übergeht. Bei dem einen formstabilen Zustand ist die Verschlußklappe (2) geöffnet und bei dem anderen formstabilen Zustand geschlossen. <IMAGE>
