[origin: EP0890973A1] The micropoint cold cathode construction has micropoints (1) on a substrate base (2) with an upper grid hole (3). The specific construction details are that the micropoint peak is distanced at d=0 from the top surface level, that the radius of curvature of the point is 25 nm and that the radius of the hole (4) in the grid is 1.3 microns.
