Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0891732A2] The slats (12) of a mattress base are fixed to the longitudinal bars of the base by caps (16). Each cap has a body (18) that is fixed to the bar and has a part (17) that holds the end of the slat. Each body has two opposite fixing feet (18a) that are staggered laterally and are parallel. Each foot has a transversal hole that engages on a transversal axle (25). The two feet of successive bodies engage on the same axle to form a continuous chain of caps.
