[origin: EP0891816A2] The nozzle has a rotating jet (8) which is mounted in a holder (7), and enclosed in a housing (1). The nose of the jet is spherical and engages with, and rotates in, a cupped spherical seat (9) in the housing. The upstream end of the jet holder travels in a circular orbit around a conical guide peg (18). The jet holder has an elastically sleeve (21) made of plastics material, which slides over the holder (7), and has an internal ridge (24) which sits in a groove (25) in the holder and is retained by an O-ring (26). Part of the length (22) of the sleeve bears against the inner wall (23) of the housing. There are longitudinal grooves in the outer surface of the sleeve or the inner surface of the housing, and, in the contact zone, the inner wall of the housing is longitudinally ribbed. Alternatively, the jet holder can carry a spur gear which engages with an internal gear ring in the housing.
