Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0891829A1] The sliding closure unit has a housing (12) and a lid (15) mounted on a pivot. The lid accommodates a refractory closure plate (22, 24) and a slider plate (23). A blocking device (20) prevents motion of the slider plate. The blocking device is designed in such a way that if the position of the lid is altered in the direction of motion of the slider plate, it automatically adjusts itself to prevent the motion of the slider plate. At the same time, it is possible to adjust the lid perpendicular to the direction of motion of the slider plate.
